DSV Solutions is growing with Techtronic Industries EMEA

DSV Solutions: Vaihingen/Enz in the Stuttgart region location becomes the European central warehouse of Techtronic Industries EMEA

DSV Solutions takes over a new location in Vaihingen/Enz and is hence expanding its capacity in the Stuttgart region. From the new warehouse different distribution channels of Techtronic Industries EMEA (TTI) will be supplied throughout Europe.

In cooperation with Greenfield Development a new logistics hall was built in two steps until the end of 2013. On around 25,000 m² DSV Solutions uses three warehouses, two of 10,000 m² and one of 5,000 m² with a capacity for approximately 28,000 pallets. According to this plan also the European central warehouse of the customer Techtronic Industries, a manufacturer of power tools and garden tools moved from Schwieberdingen to Vaihingen / Enz.

From the new warehouse customers throughout Europe are supplied with power tools and garden equipment from Techtronic Industries EMEA. In addition, the site also serves as a central facility of customer service to ensure Europe-wide supply of TTI spare parts.

„As DSV has been successfully operating in the neighboring complex for several years, it is a pleasure to ourselves, that we can expand our activities in Vaihingen / Enz and create an additional 90 jobs,“ says Harald Schefft, Managing Director DSV Solutions GmbH. „With TTI we were able to win a major customer for the new facility.“ As part of the strategic alliance, a new warehouse with 6,000m² floor space was rented in Dubai, in order to supply the Middle East and South Africa from there.
