DSV to acquire 100% of the share capital of Seatainers

Takeover of the Danish Seatainers Group A/S completes activities of DSV Air & Sea Holding
 
DSV Air & Sea Holding announces the acquisition of the entire share capital of the Danish Seatainers Group. On Wednesday both companies signed a respective agreement, thereby also merging the activities of the two companies. The contract is expected to be verified by the national competition authority within the next weeks. Until expiry of the verification period the companies of the group (BaltShip A/S, BSL A/S, Seatainers Atlantic A/S, and Seatainers Agency A/S) will carry on business as usual. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price.
 
The forthcoming cooperation is expected to strengthen the market position, competitiveness, and extent available know-how. The services portfolio of Seatainers Group include warehousing/logistics solutions and road, air and sea freight services. Seatainers Group specialises in project logistics and performs complex transport projects, e.g. for the renewable energy industry.
 
Founded in 1965 Seatainers has 180 employees, of which 150 are employed in Denmark. The activities are expected to generate annual revenue of approx. DKK 1 billion (about EUR 134 million), the project activities expecting to account for 60% of revenue. Seatainers Group has offices across the globe in the USA, China, Singapore, Australia and Latvia.
