New M&M companies in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

International transport logistics service provider Militzer & Münch affirms its commitment on the Indian subcontinent
 
Militzer & Münch headquartered in St. Gall, Switzerland added three locations on the Indian subcontinent to its worldwide network. As of now the international transport logistics service provider operates own offices in Bangladesh and Pakistan as well as in the island state of Sri Lanka. “All three countries show enormous potential and are important junctions in the corridor connecting west and south-eastern Asia. Thus they are of great strategic importance in terms of completing our business in Asia“, says Ewald Kaiser, CEO of Militzer & Münch International Holding AG.
 
Militzer & Münch Logistics Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. has been operating in Karatschi since December. The company ships mainly textiles via the harbour city. Moreover they are planning to use the Islam Republic as a transit country and to ship cotton from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan via Pakistan to global destinations.
 
Militzer & Münch Transport Logistics Services (Pvt.) Ltd. was founded in September 2012. IN addition to textiles, also Ceylon tea counts among the most important export goods for the staff team of 16 working the harbour city of Colombo. In addition the forwarding company organises the transport logistics towards Europe on behalf of a reputable tyre manufacturer.
 
The activities of M&M Air Sea Bangladesh Ltd. are coordinated by 14 employees at locations in the capital Dhaka and in the harbour city of Chittagong. The company has a strong position in the air + sea segment. Textiles are the main transport goods. In the coming years the company wants to achieve further growth in import business with cotton.“Of course we are exclusively cooperating with textile factories respecting the strict regulations on labour, safety and environment in all three countries. They are ISO certified and respect international law“, emphasises Safi Omar, person in charge of Militzer & Münch’s operations on the Indian subcontinent.
 
M&M Militzer & Münch employs about 2,800 persons at 100 locations in over 30 countries. The group sees itself as a specialist for Eurasia and North Africa. The group’s international services comprise road haulage and rail freight, air and sea transports as well as project logistics along the East-West axis. M&M is active with its own dense network of branch offices in Eastern Europe, the CIS, the Middle and Far East as well as in the Maghreb countries.
