easyrail.at: new manager and new service

easyrail.at starts regular service and expands management board

On January 8th the Vienna based container operator easyrail.at launched a regular blocktrain service named “Rail Gate Austria” that transports maritime consignments between Vienna/Enns and Hamburg/Bremerhaven. At every departure a capacity for around 90 TEU is available. By mid-January the easyrail.at sales office “Deutsche Seehäfen” will be set up for the marketing of the block trains towards the regions in northern Germany and Benelux. Detlef Kelbling, an experienced freight forwarder, will be responsible for the location.

The Management Board at the headquarters in Vienna is to be increased from two to three members. Michael Neuwirth (40) will join the team. He will be in charge of the following segments: sales, material management, procurement, production, customs and trucking. Mr. Neuwirth acquires company shares from the co-Managers Manfred Dvoracek and GĂĽnter Watzl.

easyrail.at intends to become established in the market as a neutral container operator with a vast range of e-solutions for forwarding companies and shipping agencies. The main focus lies in rail logistics and combined transport activities between European seaports and the hinterland. Block train services with several railway companies form the spine of the operations.
