Emirates starts freighter service to Kabul
Emirates SkyCargo is to start a freighter service from Dubai to Afghanistan and back in the 11th calendar week. A Boeing 747-400F with a payload of more than 100 tons will fly to Kabul once weekly. The operation will be in test mode during the first month and shall be upgraded to a liner service afterwards. The offer expansion is Emirates SkyCargo’s response to the growing customer demand for direct services to forward maindeck pallets to the Hindukusch region. Austrian forwarding companies may use the Kabul service as well. Emirates Airline operates a daily operation from Vienna to Dubai.
