Eva Air: 20 years of scheduled operations to Vienna

Vienna was the first European destination inside the route network of the private Taiwanese airline Eva Air:

The private Taiwanese airline Eva Air celebrates their 20 year anniversary for scheduled passenger and cargo operations from Taipei via Bangkok to Vienna and return. "The Austrian capital was the first European destination in our route network. Vienna has traditionally held the role as hub for passenger- and air cargo services with places of origin and destination in Central and Eastern Europe", says Raymond Lin, Evergreen Group Vice Group Chairman, in a press talk in Vienna.

On the connection from Vienna via Bangkok to Taipei, Eva Air presently operates three scheduled services per week. The flights leave each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7.35 p.m. The aircraft of choice is the Airbus A330-200 with an airfreight capacity of about ten tons.

As "flights-competence centre" for the shipping group Evergreen, Eva Air currently services 59 destinations on four continents with scheduled operations, among them the European cities Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Paris and Vienna. Their aircraft fleet is made up of 57 planes, among them nine Boeing 747-400F allfreighters and eight MD-11 freighters. Last year they transported 6,43 million passengers and 850.617 tons of airfreight.
