DHL opened largest freight centre in Dubai
DHL Global Forwarding has a new showpiece in the Middle East. On November 5, a new multifunctional centre was opened in the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone in Dubai. With an investment of EUR 40 million, the air- and seafreight specialist of Deutsche Post World Net said it was “further expanding the leading position in the Gulf region”. The new DHL Global Forwarding-logistics centre in Dubai covers an area of 54,000 sq. m. and provides a total climatised handling area of about 80,000 sq. m.; comprising a 7,000 sq. m. office area and a 8,000 sq. m. life sciences-distribution centre for temperature-controlled consignments.
