FACC AG to start major logistics project

Upper Austrian aviation supplier FACC AG and their forwarding partner to tackle incoming logistic outsourcing project
 
FACC AG, established in international aviation supply industry, puts on a new basis the pre-production procurement processes at its four Austrian locations. On the occasion of the Linzer Luftfahrttag-event Walter Stephan, managing director, announced the implementation of a project to construct a incoming logistics-facility. Further details will be announced shortly.
 
As to the construction of the new logistics facility with 8.000 m  of covered area and 10,000 pallet slots FACC will rely on an experienced partner form the logistics industry. An international forwarder, whose name is kept confidential so far, has won the tender. In cooperation with a local partner the forwarding company will assume the role of the operator of this facility as well as additional functions e.g. organising and handling worldwide transport logistics , Walter Stephan explains in an interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.
 
FACC AG based in Ried im Innkreis develops, produces and distributes composite lightweight components of primary and secondary structure for customers from the international aviation industry. In the 2012/13 financial year the 2,300 employees generated turnover at EUR 435 million.
