Fourth Boeing 747 for ACG Air Cargo Germany

Airline ACG Air Cargo Germany registers increasing demand for inter continental freight transportations

The airline ACG Air Cargo Germany has added a Jumbo airplane to its fleet on 11 September – the fourth wide body freighter aircraft of the same type. The passenger to cargo converted B747-400BCF plane by U.S. manufacturer Boeing (BCF – Boeing Converted Freighter) was leased by the Dutch airline Martinair. The first flight of the new unit was operated from the Frankfurt-Hahn airport to Mumbai (Bombay), where the flight was continued to Hong Kong.

The reason for this fleet expansion is the increasing demand of ACG customers for intercontinental freight transportations. Launching the fourth aircraft the airline is now offering a carrying capacity of about 440 tons in total. “Taking over our fourth wide-body freighter aircraft, we have reached our goal for 2010. We are now able to offer our customers higher flight frequencies to Hong Kong and additional liner service destinations as India’s capital New Delhi or Shenyang in the northeast of China“, says CEO Michael Bock. “After more than one year of flight operations in a difficult market environment we succeeded in positioning ACG as a reliable quality service provider in the market,“ he adds. The ACG manager expects a further positive business trend for the upcoming fourth quarter of 2010.
