Geek+ showcases smart picking solutions at IntraLogisteX

At this year’s co-located IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation exhibitions, Geek+, a global supplier of mobile robots for logistics, showcased its goods-to-person P-800 picking robot and tote-to-person picking solution, which combines the company’s RoboShuttle and P40 robots.

As visitors to Stand i602 have discovered, the smart picking solutions automate the picking process by bringing inventory to the warehouse operator at the picking station, improving warehouse efficiency by 2-3 times, and addressing current challenges such as rising energy and labour costs, supply chain and shipping constraints, and increased customer demand for fast delivery.

The Geek+ stand also featured the S20CA robot, which can take over from inflexible infrastructure such as conveyor belts in sorting operations.

Simon Houghton, Head of Sales and Marketing for the UK and Ireland at Geek+, said: “We’re very excited to be at IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation this year with some of our latest solutions.

“RoboShuttle especially highlights how much Geek+ has refined logistics robots to solve the real-world problems our clients face.

“Our business in this country continues to grow by leaps and bounds, so it’s great being able to see our clients and meet new ones at the show.”

According to Houghton, Geek+ robots replace high energy consuming logistics equipment, and reduce the use of electricity, lighting, and air-conditioning in the warehouse.

The robots themselves also have low power consumption, and their battery life expectancy is said to be 60% higher than the industry average.

What’s more, data from 2022 revealed that Geek+’s fleet of 30,000 robots worldwide helped save over 120,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and 16 million KWh in energy.
