Gruber Logistics breaking new grounds also in times of crisis

South-Tyrolean transport and logistics group Gruber opens location in Cologne

The Management of the Gruber Logistics-company reckons with losses in turnover of 20 to 30 per cent in the year 2009. Nonetheless they will keep calm and seize new market opportunities, as the headquarters of the company group in Auer near Bolzano (South Tyrol) announced. In a press release Kurt Gruber, Managing Director, announced the opening of a location in Cologne. The 16th location within the network will exclusively concentrate on organising transports to Russia.

Despite a declining demand in the fourth quarter in the previous year Gruber Logistics generated with national and international transport and logistics services an annual turnover of EUR 172 million, which is 13 per cent less than in 2007. Around 400 persons are employed at 15 locations in Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and Russia.
