Economy meets politics: “Round Table“ in Ennshafen

ecoplus: “Ennshafen accommodates the biggest connected industrial construction area at the Upper Danube”
 
On 21 February a Ennshafen Round Table took place in the ecoplus industrial park in Ennsdorf. The event with Petra Bohuslav (Lower Austria’s Minister of Economy), Gottfried Kneifel (member of the Federal Council, Christian Steindl and Jörg Praher (managing directors of the Ennshafen port), as well as Michaela Hinterholzer (member of the state parliament and vice chairperson of the supervisory board of ecoplus), and Helmut Miernicki (managing director of ecoplus) took place at the company premises of Stein & Co and was organised for the resident companies.
 
The aim of the event was to further strengthen the networking between the companies in the economic region Ennshafen, to invite the companies to get to know each other better and use potential synergies. The elaboration of our economic strategy requires exchange of the companies on a regular basis. This will keep service offerings updated and enables us to adjust services to the current situation“, Petra Bohuslav said to the participants.
 
Ennshafen as Austria’s most modern public port units the biggest connected industrial construction area in Upper and Lower Austria consisting of the port area and the neighbouring industrial parks at the Upper Danube, on a total surface of 350 ha. The resident companies in this cross-country economic region Amstetten-St.Valentin-Enns-Perg with connections to road, rail and waterway, are currently employing about 1,600 persons.
 
The ecoplus industrial parl Ennsdorf was established in 1992 and is operated by ecoplus, the economic agency of Lower Austria. Currently about 24 companies are settled down on 90 ha, including the companies Stein & Co, Salvagnini, Fuchshuber, Neumüller and GLS.
