Hamburg based Hoyer Group enhances their intermodal profile

Expansion of tank container fleet strengthens the position of the Hoyer Group in the growth segment of international liquid goods transports

The Hoyer Group expands their tank container fleet by another 3.450 units until the end of 2016. The Hamburg based logistics company thereby lays the foundation for medium- and long-term growth in international liquid goods transports

The Hoyer Group is among the biggest tank container operators worldwide and with more than 32.000 tank containers they dispose of  considerable equipment for intermodal transports. The logistics service provider consistently expands this position: For the current year, investments into 250 new tank containers with a capacity of 24 m3 are on the agenda. For 2015 and 2016 they have already placed new orders over a total of 3.200 tank containers with well-known manufacturers.

„Our tank containers are in demand“, says Ulrich Graupe, head of equipment management with Hoyer. “By going for a targeted expansion of our transport equipment now, we are paving the way for future growth in worldwide intermodal transports.”

Especially tank containers with a capacity of 26 m3 register increasing demand on the transport market. Hoyer has ordered 1.000 units with acoustic baffles and 900 units without baffles for the next two years. .

For smaller transport volumes an additional 700 24 m3 tank containers as well as 600 21 m3 tank containers will be ordered in 2015 and 2016. With this investment into new tank containers the international forwarder reacts to individual customer requirements.
