Hapag-Lloyd is modifying Atlantic prices

“General Rate Increase“ on all routes from Europe to the U.S., Canada and Mexico served by container line Hapag-Lloyd:

The German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd is charging higher rates for the shipment of containers from Europe to the U.S., Canada and Mexico. In a press release the enterprise announces „General Rate Increases“. The modified charges apply to all routes from the North continent and the Mediterranean. They will be effective 15 October 2011.

On the routes from northern Europe/Mediterranean Sea to the U.S. and Canada charges for 20’ containers will rise USD 240, and by USD 300 for 40’ boxes. From mid-October Hapag-Lloyd’s customers will have to pay USD 200 more per TEU and USD 250 more for 40’ units to be shipped from northern Europe/Mediterranean Sea to Mexico. The "General Rate Increases“ concern Coasts throughout all American destinations.
