Heigl-R. Int. Transporte files for bankruptcy
High road tolls, rising diesel prices and foreign employees force Heigl-R. Internationale Transporte GmbH into insolvency
On 15 March Heigl-R. Internationale Transporte GmbH with headquarters in Heiligenkreuz am Waasen applied for bankruptcy proceedings at the regional court Landesgericht Graz. High road tolls and rising diesel prices are named as the reasons for the insolvency. Fuel prices could not be passed to customers due to the price pressure in the industry, which was aggravated by the increasing number of low-price providers from the new (south) east European EU-member countries. Finally several bad debt losses occurred and negotiations with potential investors showed no positive results.
According to the Austrian association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870 the insolvency affects about 26 employees and 430 creditors. The company established in 2002 has debts amounting to EUR 0.79 million. “The enterprise is not closed. However, a closure of the enterprise shall be investigated in agreement with the liquidator to be appointed. A renovation plan in case revenues must be collected is being targeted“, reports KSV 1870.
