Hermann Filz becomes CEO DHL Global Forwarding Western Europe

Management-change with DHL Global Forwarding: Hermann Filz was appointed CEO Western Europe; Kerem Inanc moves on top of the Eastern Europe cluster

The Management of DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) will see some personnel changes. Hermann Filz, currently CEO DHL Global Forwarding Eastern Europe/Israel, will assume the position as CEO DHL Global Forwarding Western Europe, effective April 1, 2015. He will be responsible for the new cluster DGF Western Europe, which includes the Nordics, Belgium and Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Iberia, Ireland and Israel. All country managers of this new cluster will directly report to Hermann Filz, who will continue to report to Rajeev Singh-Molares, CEO DGF EMEA, and will remain as a member of the DGF EMEA Management Board.

Hermann Filz started his career with DPDHL in the customer service function with Cargoplan in 1979. He became the Branch Manager for Vienna in 1986 and was promoted into the role of Managing Director for Austria in 1992, when he led seven offices and 100 employees. During the merger with Danzas/DHL in 2002, he remained as Country Manager for Austria.

Four years later, Hermann Filz was appointed as Subregional Head Eastern Europe with DHL Global Forwarding. In his current role he is responsible for approximately 1,800 employees in 14 countries and 12 agent countries, where DGF has authorised representatives.

Kerem Inanc, currently Managing Director DGF Turkey, was appointed as CEO DHL Global Forwarding Eastern Europe, effective April 1, 2015. Kerem is taking over the responsibilities of Hermann Filz’ current position to manage the Eastern Europe cluster, which includes Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Croatia/Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Serbia and Bulgaria. Kerem will report directly to Rajeev Singh-Molares, CEO DGF EMEA, and will become a member of the DGF EMEA Management Board. All country managers of this cluster will report to Kerem directly.

Kerem joined DHL Global Forwarding in 2004 as CFO Turkey and then moved into the role of Managing Director in 2009. Before joining DHL, he held various management positions for Lufthansa in the US and France. Kerem holds a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur degree from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg.
