HMM establishes joint venture for heavy cargo transportations

HD Atlas offers concepts for global heavy cargo transport to customers of the HMM shipping company

Setting up a joint venture the South Korean shipping company HMM Hyundai Merchant Marine responds to the increasing demand of the industry for continuous solutions for intercontinental carriage of heavy freight shipments for major construction sites. The new company acts under the name HD Atlas. Apart from HMM their circle of shareholders comprises Dongbang Transport and Logistics, the specialist for heavy cargo land transportations in South Korea, and Hyundai Logiem (previously Hyundai Logistics).

HD Atlas offers integrated logistics solutions for clients from the industrial engineering branch. The services are ranging from shipments and land transportation to customs clearance and warehousing concepts for oversized and overweight consignments. HMM Hyundai Merchant Marine supports the enterprise in handling ocean freight. Dongbang Transport and Logistics and Hyundai Logiem contribute their know how in the fields of land transport, warehousing logistics and customs.
