Hoyer assumes pioneer role in south-eastern Europe

Hoyer operates first tanker cleaning facility in Bulgaria

The international logistics enterprise Hoyer, headquartered in Hamburg, sets new standards in south-eastern Europe. In Razgrad the first tank cleaning facility in Bulgaria started operating just recently. The facility has two ways and six cleaning heads in total. It is especially designed for the cleaning of tank containers, road tankers and silo trailers after having transported liquid food products.

”Thanks to the strategically favourable situation – around 100 kilometres in the south-east of Bucharest – directly on the Bucharest-Russe-Istanbul axis, our new facility has a large catchment area. We are able to carry out a maximum of 9,000 tank cleanings at the site“, Latchezar Anguelov, Managing Director at Hoyer Bulgaria, explains. According to the Manager the target group comprises all transport companies that unload liquid or silo-food in Bulgaria or in Greater Bucharest and need a cleaning before re-loading.

The construction of the tank cleaning facility was preceded by the winning of an offer to tender: A large-scale customer of Hoyer Foodlog decided at the end of 2008 in favour of the cooperation with the logistics enterprise. After all legal requirements were fulfilled, construction work started at the beginning of March 2009 and were finished in June.
