Insolvency of Intermontana Transport AG

Financial collapse with Intermontana Transport in Radfeld (Tyrol)

A new case of insolvency was opened at the regional court Landesgericht Innsbruck. On 6 August the proceedings about the assets of the Intermontana Transport AG in Radfeld started. According to the KSV 1870 (Austrian association for the protection of creditors) the insolvency affects around 230 creditors and 25 employees. The total amount of the liabilities is around EUR 13.8 million. The debtors want to continue the enterprise and pay their debts by means of an enforced compensation.

CEO Thomas Rumplmayr names fiercely reduced transport volumes and a considerable amount of outstanding accounts receivables as reasons. Intermontana Transport is mainly operating international transports. Since 2003 the enterprise has been affiliated to the Interliner Corporate Group. This group’s Austrian transport company is also subject to insolvency proceedings at the regional court Landesgericht Steyr.
