Intercontainer Austria launches new service to Trieste
| Intercontainer Austria’s “Julia Shuttle” connecting Austria and Trieste Since the beginning of this year Intercontainer Austria (ICA) is operating a new block train system named “Julia Shuttle”, which transports maritime containers from Austria to northern Italy and back. Four weekly roundtrips are scheduled for the connection from Villach Süd CCT to Trieste Campo Marzio Rive. The block train departs from Villach every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and is available in the opposite direction every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The “Julia Shuttle” is based on a co-production of Intercontainer Austria with Alpe Adria and Intercontainer Interfrigo (Basel). In Villach Süd a connection to the Austrian overnight-network is available.
