InterRail group reorganises its activities
InterRail group forms joint venture and puts its activities on a new basis With effect from 1 January 2011 the two companies Multimodal Transport Equipment GmbH and InterRail Transport GmbH will be merged into InterRail Logistics GmbH. The headquarters of the new company will be in Frankfurt am Main. The previous location of Multimodal in Berlin will remains in force and will also act under the name InterRail Logistics. The name Multimodal will just be used as a product name for intermodal container transport services including combined short sea/rail transport. The background of these changes is the reorganisation of the international InterRail group, which is specialising in CIS rail traffic and operates locations in Germany, Switzerland, CIS, Iran and China. The main activity is transport logistics in rail transport with the CIS and the Far East. The enterprise acts as a provider of services for railway transport including container transport, conventional transportations in single wagon transport and project forwarding. The offer comprises continuous freight rates, documents handling, pre and on carriage of rail transport, tracking, container provision and a comprehensive, individual service package for customers.
