Jacobson opens regional HQ in Hong Kong
Jacobson Companies has established Jacobson Global Logistics (JGL) in Hong Kong as the foundation from which to expand its logistics services in Asia. JGL Hong Kong will provide a full range of international logistics services to and from the US and within Asia, including freight forwarding (Ocean & Air), PO management, procurement & consolidation, origin value-added services, customs brokerage, bonded warehousing, deconsolidation and DC bypass, trans-load and bonded hubs, as well as international multi-modal transport services. The establishment of JGL in Hong Kong is a significant step for Jacobson in expanding its international 3PL portfolio. In the first half of last year, Jacobson launched its International Logistics Services (ILS) group, and acquired Seattle-based Global Transportation Services, with both moves intended to expand the company’s international 3PL platform.
