JCL Logistics buys 50 EEV trucks from MAN Truck & Bus

50 trucks of the MAN TGX 18.440-series for long-haul traffic improve JCL Logistics’ environmental balance

JCL Logistics, established in the segment of transport and product logistics, purchases 50 particularly environmentally friendly semi trailers of the MAN TGX 18.440-series to consolidate its commitment regarding to its ecological responsibility and its aim of being a pioneer in terms of CO2-balance.

"We were looking for the most economical and environmentally friendly long-haul truck and found it with the MAN TGX Efficient Line," Stephan Jöbstl, CEO of JCL Logistics, explains the purchase decision. He expects that the new vehicles will save fuel costs, accompanied by a strong sign of economy.

The special model designed by MAN Truck & Bus for long distance traffic, addressing the most efficient and environmentally conscious customers, has a number of consumption-reducing measures. These include an improved drive system, optimised aerodynamics, lower rolling resistance and weight reduction. In detail, for example, a speed limit care to 85 km/h, the lack of external sun visor and the absence of air horns, a light-run intarder, a more efficient alternator or a switched compressor, that is only added when required, can decrease consumption up to three liters diesel per 100 kilometers.

JCL Logistics headquartered in Graz has more than 60 locations in 25 countries and 1,900 employees operating services in transport and product logistics as well as eCommerce. The private enterprise generated lately an annual turnover of about EUR 411 million.
