Kuehne + Nagel Austria handles major project for Cemtec

6,500 cubic metres of facility components of Cemtec to be transported to Russia from four continents under the direction of Kuehne + Nagel

Kuehne + Nagel is managing a major project for an Austrian customer these weeks. On behalf of the Upper Austrian company Cemtec they will forward three shipments of facility components from the sites in Enns and Linz, as well as from suppliers in Germany, Indonesia, Australia and South Africa to the recipient in the city of Magadan at the Sea of Othosk in the east of Russia before the end of March 2013.

The order involves 6,500 cubic metres of facility equipment of a ball mill, which will be transported to the Russian destination from four continents, directed by Kuehne + Nagel Austria. The transportations from Austria, Germany and South Africa – including two heavy transportations of 98 tonnes each – will arrive on maritime vessels, river vessels (from Austria) and trucks (Germany) in Antwerp, where the freight pieces will be consolidated, transhipped to cargo vessels and shipped to Magadan.

The first part had been delivered in December 2012. Further transportations will be carried out in January and February 2013. “The project must be finished before the end of March due to weather conditions in this part of Russia. The transport of the heavy coli in Magadan requires frozen roads in terms of a solid ground“, says Jürgen Heinrich, location manager Kuehne + Nagel in Upper Austria.

Cemtec develops, produces and distributes special machines for processing bulk materials (stones, ores, earths) in wet and dry grinding technologies. The product range also includes solutions for thermal treatment, and mechanical treatment for bulk materials, minerals and ore. Cemtec offers complete turnkey projects as well as single machinery.
