Kuehne + Nagel makes important decisions on the management
Kuehne + Nagel heaves Reiner Heiken to the top of the German branch; Hans-Georg Brinkmann assumes management of the region Western Europe
As of July 1, 2013 Reiner Heiken fills the position of the CEO of Kuehne + Nagel’s operations in Germany, thus succeeding Hans-Georg Brinkmann. Brinkmann in turn assumes responsibility of the newly formed region Western Europe, merging the previous organisational units Central Europe, North-western Europe and South-western Europe.
Reiner Heiken has been working for the Kuehne + Nagel group since 1997. The trained master mariner and shipping specialist had been going to sea. In his function as regional manager for the Near and Middle East from 1997 until 2001 he gained international experience throughout all segments. Afterwards he managed business operations in the region Northern Germany. Since 2009 he has been a member of the board of the German Kuehne + Nagel branch, being in charge of overland transport in Central Europe. The German Kuehne + Nagel company has close to 11,000 employees thus counting among the major national branches of the globally operating logistics provider.
