Kuehne + Nagel’s new logistics facility in Kecskemét to serve suppliers of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary
Opening a new warehouse in Kecskemét, Hungary, Kuehne + Nagel emphasises its competence as logistics partner of the automotive industry in Central and Eastern Europe. Bob Mihok, President Kuehne + Nagel Eastern Europe AG, presented the object and associated expectations to selected customers and business partners on 14 June.
With about 170 employees Kuehne + Nagel coordinates in Kecskemét the assembly and components logistics in the Mercedes-Benz plant for the production of the new Mercedes-Benz B class. The recently opened warehouse offers 10,000 m² covered area and is situated next to the automotive manufacturer’s first plant in the region Central and Eastern Europe. In this facility the globally acting transport and logistics enterprise serves four suppliers of Mercedes-Benz. The location in Kecskemét increases the staff of Kuehne + Nagel Hungary to 450 persons until the end of 2012, which is about as many as the sister company in Austria employs.
