Lagermax-“evergreen“ Alfred Grasser retired

Alfred Grasser’s withdrawal incites Lagermax AED to reorganise its management board and country directors:

It’s the end of an era with the Lagermax corporate group. Alfred Grasser, managing director Lagermax AED GmbH & Co KG, has retired as of 1 January 2012. The thoroughbred forwarder was working for the Salzburg-based traditional company for 49 years. He passed stations of different business segments of the group – including the position of the managing director of the forwarding company – and has lately held the function of managing director of the overnight express specialist Lagermax AED GmbH & Co KG.

With Lagermax AED Austria, in addition to Mr. Christian Starchl also Mr. Richard Pöschl joined the management board. After Alfred Grasser’s retirement the international business segment is headed by Richard Pöschl and Dino Misar in addition to the existing head Alexander Friesz. The countries served by AED’s companies are divided into two regions.

Richard Pöschl is the regional head of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania as well as Austria, while Dino Misar is the regional head of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Lagermax AED GmbH & Co KG counts among the market leaders in the segments overnight express systems in Austria and Eastern Europe.

Established in 1991, the enterprise operates locations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which are connected through services with a frequency. The Lagermax group generated a turnover of EUR 273.5 million in the year 2010 and has 2,250 employees at 46 locations in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
