Less air freight at Lufthansa Cargo
Lufthansa Cargo had to make sacrifices in volumes forwarded in 2009 The global financial and economic crisis in the calendar year 2009 had also an impact on Lufthansa Cargo AG in the form of declining volumes. With 1.52 million tons of transported air freight and air mail, the enterprise missed the reference value of 2008 (1.696 million tons) by 10.5 per cent. The German Lufthansa AG reports this figures in a short information. The cargo load factor of Lufthansa Cargo AG in the reporting period reached 63.6 per cent and was thus 2.3 percentage points below the figure of 2008.
