Location in Linz becomes hub of Ontime Logistics

Ontime Logistics establishes major logistics hub and appoints Thomas Halbertschlager head of the express division in Linz
 
The Austrian logistics provider Ontime Logistics bundlet its express logistics activities at the location in Linz. About 125,000 national and international express shipments per year are picked on 1,000 m² transhipment area and pinpoint distributed afterwards.
 
“In 2003 we started here with no customer, today our 25 employees serve about 400 companies from different industries in the region of Upper Austria and neighbouring regions of Lower Austria“, Gerald Kitzmüller, product manager in charge of the Ontime Express division, says about the beginnings in Linz. The customers are from typically Upper Austrian industries such as the automotive supply, motor sports, aircraft and agricultural machines, pharmaceutical and heating, conveyor technology and mechanical engineering.
 
They are working around the clock, seven days a week. The company acts in its daily business in about 30 countries throughout Europe, the enterprise emphasises its affiliation to an international network that is also including a partnership with Net Express Europe. Gerald Kitzmüller is supported by Thomas Halbertschlager at the location in Linz/Ansfelden since January 2013. The lateral entrant and experienced express logistician serves the customers in the region of Upper Austria.
 
In 2001 Kurt Posch and Roland Schäffner established Ontime Logistics Speditions GmbH in order to redefine the concept of quality for the transport and logistics industry. Today the enterprise has about 100 employees in total at the headquarters in Salzburg as well as at the branches in Linz, Vienna and Innsbruck. Their customers come mainly from the automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, mechanical and plant engineering industry as well the movie and media industry, including global groups such as Sony DADC, Mango, Plasser&Theurer, FACC or KTM as internationally operating manufacturer of sports motorcycles.
 
Being the exclusive partner of NNR Global Logistics (Tokyo) Ontime Logistics define themselves as Austrian specialist for Japan, concerning precise logistics in the field of import and export of air and sea freight. NNR (Nishi Nippon Railroad Co Ltd.) counts among the five major forwarders in Japan.
