Logwin Solutions sets the course for growth in Turkey

Logwin acquires remaining stake in Turkish company and streamlines the management

The global logistics service provider Logwin has acquired all outstanding shares in the Logwin local Turkish company. The enterprise previously held 75 percent of the shares with 20 percent being held by the former managing director, Ercan Ataman, and five percent by the Turkish company KITA logistics. Ercan Ataman and Emre Eldener left the management team by amicable agreement at the end of 2010. Sadik Baydere, who was appointed new Country Manager for Turkey on 1 November, has assumed responsibility for the management of the company, Logwin Solutions Lojistik Hizmetleri.

Sadik Baydere sees enormous growth potential for Logwin in Turkey: “If you look at the economic situation in Europe, Turkey is currently one of the most powerful drivers of economic growth. Trade and manufacturing, which suffered the greatest losses in the economic crisis, are making up ground fast,” he illuminates the current situation. The geographic location of the country as a hub and crossroads between Eastern Europe, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Near and Middle East and North Africa offer huge potential for Logwin’s global logistics services says Baydere.

Logwin has locations in Turkey in Izmir and Istanbul. A staff of 49 work for customers from the automotive, electronics and high-tech, textiles and fashion sectors as well as in retail in the fields of forwarding, distribution and warehousing as well as value-added services and full-service contract logistics solutions.
