Air cargo documentation based on E-Freight has become “lived reality” for cargo-partner in Belgium as well
The international transport and logistics company cargo-partner takes another step to implement environmental protection measures. In cooperation with Lufthansa they gave the starting signal for the new E-Freight tool in Belgium. This was also a clear statement in the area of air cargo documentation, the management announces in a press release. In Belgium the enterprise has by its own account a pioneering role in this segment. E-Freight E-Freight substitutes the old paper Air Waybill by electronic documentation. According to estimations this can save about 7,800 tons of paper worldwide per year. cargo-partner already works in the offices in Vienna, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels with E-Freight. In the recently opened office in Jebel Ali as well as in Hong Kong E-Freight is also in use. The advantages of E-Freight are the maximum quality of data, as cargo-partner states. The selected entry mask at the electronic documentation leads to a maximal correctness of the data acquisition (type, value and amount of the shipment as well as detailed information about shipper, consignee, forwarding company, time of departure and arrival, airlines and customs clearance).
