Lufthansa Cargo prolongs contract of Dr. Andreas Otto

Dr. Andreas Otto to keep his position as Board Member Product and Sales Lufthansa Cargo AG up to 30 June 2018
 
The Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG (Frankfurt/Main) has extended the contract of Dr. Andreas Otto as Board Member Product and Sales for a further five years up to 30 June 2018. The 49 year-old business management graduate and Dr. rer. pol. joined the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board in April 2000 and is now its longest serving member. Aside from his stewardship of worldwide sales and handling (except for the hubs Frankfurt and Munich), he is responsible for Margin Management and Product Management as well as Global Network und Sales Steering.
 
Dr. Andreas Otto began his career at Rhenus AG & Co. KG in Dortmund in 1994. In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Board Member for Marketing and Sales at Rhenus before taking a seat on the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG in the year 2000.
 
Having transported a volume of about 1.9 million tonnes of cargo and mail shipments, and having sold 9.5 billion freight-tonne kilometres in 2011 Lufthansa Cargo counts among the worldwide leading providers of air cargo transport. The enterprise has currently about 4,600 employees worldwide. Their core business is airport-airport. The route network covers more than 300 destinations in about 100 countries, using freighters and belly freight capacity of Lufthansa’s and Austrian Airlines’ passenger aircraft as well as trucks. Lufthansa Cargo is a 100%-subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
