Major investment of Kaindl group in Ennshafen

EUR 75 million capital investment: Kaindl group constructs large logistics centre in the Ennshafen port

The 35 hectares plot of land of the Kaindl group in the Ennshafen port has finally a designated use. The Salzburg-based producer of wooden plates is to build a large logistics centre for EUR 75 million. The new facility will create 250 new jobs on the medium term, as the paper OÖNachrichten reports in their weekend issue, referring to the regional minister of economy Viktor Sigl and Otto Hawlicek, managing director of the CTS Container Terminal Salzburg.

According to the OÖNachrichten planning works for the new Kaindl logistics facility have started and operation shall be started by the end of the year 2015. In parallel to the planning of the logistics centre the container terminal shall be expanded as well. Additional costs pf EUR 17 million are budgeted therefore. A designated team shall discuss the relevant details.

For Otto Hawlicek the Ennshafen port’s trimodality is developed fantastically. As to rail transport to Ennshafen the head of CTS aims at a partnership with a big European rail transport enterprise, which is reportedly not Rail Cargo Austria.
