Neptune Lines to establish its new company ‘Neptune Turkey’
Having served the region for decades, the Neptune Group decided to emphasize its presence in Turkey
“Turkey is a strategic market for us and we have been consistently serving Turkish ports for more than 25 years,” says Neptune Lines President and CEO, Melina Travlos. “Today, we assist global car manufacturers with local production sites to export their business to more than 20 countries around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, in addition to in/out traffic for other sectors such as machinery, construction or energy. Local presence is important to demonstrate our commitment”.
Mr. Özgür Özerbay has been appointed as Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for Neptune Turkey. He will be supported by Akmar Agency, Neptune Lines long-standing local partner and representative, as well as the headquarters commercial team. Neptune Lines is a leading finished vehicle logistics provider, offering transportation and shipping solutions to manufacturers and shippers of cars and high & heavy cargoes. In 2014, it transported more than 900,000 units on behalf of its customers, who are the world’s largest automotive manufacturers, as well as major logistics providers. The fleet consists of 16 Pure Car and Truck Carrier vessels (owned or chartered), with cargo capacity ranging between 530-3,800 cars.
