New business for Kuehne + Nagel and DB Schenker
Kuehne + Nagel is appointed logistics partner for the Good-Food Group; Land Warfare Conference 2010 appoints DB Schenker as its official logistics and service provider. Russia-based Good-Food Group has selected Kuehne + Nagel as its logistics partner for the global sourcing and domestic distribution of its products. The products originate from around the world, including Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Ho Chi Minh City, Los Angeles, Oakland, Valparaiso, and Qingdao. These are transported to the ports of Kotka and St. Petersburg and arrive at destinations such as Moscow and other cities all over Russia. In terms of the new agreement, Kuehne + Nagel has tailored a dedicated door-to-door sea freight intermodal service according to the specific needs of the Good-Food Group, and will transport the products to almost all Russian national and regional retail chains from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Extending their long-standing cooperation, the organisers of Defence Science & Technology Organisation (DSTO) have once again appointed DB Schenker to provide a total logistics package for the Land Warfare Conference 2010, which will run in Brisbane from November 15th – 19th. For this year’s conference, DB Schenker will provide customised logistics services such as international and domestic freight forwarding, customs and quarantine clearances, transportation and on-site handling. An estimated twenty tons of airfreight as well as sea freight and dozens of truck loads will be moved to showcase the displays of exhibitors and various other stakeholders. Quelle: eyefortransport |
