DB Schenker switches to mobilkom austria network DB Schenker Austria changes its partner for mobile telephony. In the future the around 1,850 employees at eleven sites will communicate using mobilkom austria’s system. The decisive factor for this change was the comprehensive voice and data package the market leader in Austrian mobile networks offered to the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary. The contents range from voice telephony for more than 730 employees with BlackBerry services and mobile data solutions to data SIM cards for 300 mobile scanners. DB Schenker in turn manages many logistics processes for mobilkom austria. The provision of consignments from Asia per air and sea freight or the DB SCHENKERskybridge air-/sea combination including interim storage at the Logistics Service Center Freudenau and customised distribution are the core interest. “DB Schenker has a very efficient logistics network.
