New equipment with Containerdienst Hämmerle

30′ silo containers provide new opportunities for customers of Containerdienst Hämmerle GmbH for food transport on the railway
 
Containerdienst Hämmerle GmbH added 30′ silo containers with a capacity of 52 cubic metres and 29 tonnes of payload to its equipment pool. The nex transport boxes complete the fleet – previously consisting of 20′ silo containers, 20′ tank containers, 23′ open top containers (7.15 m) and 23′ bulk containers (7.15 m). The company based in Bludenz, Vorarlberg, is using them mainly for food transport.
 
Established in 1977, Containerdienst Hämmerle is a transport service provider specialising in unaccompanied companied road/rail transport. The enterprise was founded with the aim of establishing combined transport in the region of Vorarlberg and shift cargo transport to the rail as far as possible. They are mainly transporting products for the food industry, as well as marble powder, quartz sands and road salt. The operations mainly take place in Austria. In cooperation with other companies they serve Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland. Since 1981 Containerdienst Hämmerle operates the container terminal in Bludenz.
