New Fiege warehouse in Hungary
Fiege terminal in Hegyeshalom operates CEE central warehouse of Daikin The contract logistics specialist Fiege has landed a new business contract in the region Central and Eastern Europe. Since 1 February a team of experts handles the storage logistics for Central Eastern Europe on behalf of Daikin, a producer of air condition systems, in a logistics facility with 12,000 sq.m. hall area in Hegyeshalom, western Hungary, that is rent by ProLogis. The facility in Hegyeshalom is used as a hub to serve Daikin clients in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and in Former Yugoslavia. Fiege is in charge of the complete warehousing logistics. Distribution logistics lies in the hands of Gebrüder Weiss. Fiege is present in Hungary with two locations. Apart from the facility in Hegyeshalom the enterprise operates a logistics terminal with 38,000 pallet slots in Budapest. The business activities are handled by more than 200 employees.
