New members join Management Board of TFG Transfracht

Christina Arndt and Ralf-Günter Kloß join the Management Board of TFG Transfracht
 
These weeks some personell changes are taking place in the Management Board of TFG Transfracht. As of 1 September 2012 Christina Arndt (43) is to take over responsibility of the marketing and sales resort of the company. During her career with Deutsche Bahn the manager headed among other projects the restructuring of price strategies in passenger tranport and reorganisation of sales units.
 
In early July the newly created resort operation was added to the existing resorts marketing/sales and finances/controlling. The operations resort is headed by Ralf-Günter Kloß. Kloß (50) is the Managing Director of DB Intermodal Services GmbH; he is holding both functions. The finances/controlling resort is still headed by Falk Holtz.
 
Effective 1 July 2012 all shares of TFG Transfracht were transferred to Deutsche Bahn. TFG as Europe’s largest seaports hinterland transport enterprise has been managed since then by DB Schenker Rail. The streamlined shareholder structure and the newly organised management shall improve processes within TFG and interlocked with DB Schenker Rail’s network.   
 
TFG Transfracht Internationale Gesellschaft für kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of DB Mobility Logistics AG, is the market leader in hinterland transport with German seaports. The enterprise transports transportiert containers from German seaports directly to recipients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on behalf of shipowners and forwarders, as well as from the original shipper to German seaports. 
 
Three countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and two ports (Bremerhaven and Hamburg) are linked with one railway system – the Albatros Express. With more than 12,000 links per year and 20 terminals the AlbatrosExpress network is the most dense rail network within European seaports hinterland transport.
