New rail product of IMS on the Antwerp – Frenkendorf route

Brabo-Shuttle of IMS Rail Switzerland to start its premiere journey on October 22; daily rail antennae to the port of Zeebrugge

Under the name “Brabo-Shuttle” IMS Rail Switzerland, neutral operator of intermodal transport, launches a new service between Antwerp and Frenkendorf. In a overnight service the Antwerp quays Q420, Q730, Q86, Q913, Q1700 and Q1742 are called; other quays will be connected by truck. Daily rail antennas also connect the port of Zeebrugge via the Brabo-Shuttle. The service from one source also includes the pre- and on-carriage on the rail (Swiss Split service).

“The Brabo-Shuttle completes our network in an ideal way“, emphasises Enrique Rivas, CEO IMS Rail Switzerland. “Concentrating our transport services at the Frenkendorf container terminal, enables our customers to profit from established processes, to combine pre- and on-carriage from/to Rotterdam, Italy and now also Antwerp, and use truck resources in an efficient way.” Furthermore Frenkendorf offers interchanges from long haul services (Antwerp – Milano) to shuttle trains in their own network.

IMS was established in 1993 as a private container operator based in Vienna. The company operates locations in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Spain and Portugal. Together with worldwide partners the full service provider offers services related to intermodal transport. With about 100 employees the container operator handled 147,000 TEU last year and generated turnover of EUR 47 million.
