Nordfrost opens logistics centre in Fürth, Germany

Refrigerated warehouse capacity of the Nordfrost group is growing to about 640,000 pallet slots before the end of 2011:

The Nordfrost group has started operating the first of three new deep-freeze logistics centres in Fürth, southern Germany in mid-August. The location replaces the previously rented refrigerated warehouse in Nuremberg. The new facility provides 20,000 pallet slots, shock freezer and space for value-added services.

The second Nordfrost location in southern Germany is located in Gärtringen. A logistics centre providing 30,000 pallet slots will be built there until December. A third station close to Munich is in the pipeline. Including the expansion of its locations, the private group of companies is increasing its cool-warehouse capacity to 640,000 pallet slots in total before the end of 2011.

Established in 1975, Nordfrost GmbH based in Schortens, acts as full service deep-freeze logistician and operates 40 locations in Germany, Denmark and the UK. In 2010 the group with 2,500 employees generated an annual turnover of about EUR 400 million.
