Panopa Logistik enforces activities in eastern Europe

Panopa buys Polish forwarder and opens location in Czech Republic

Panopa Group (Duisburg) is about to considerably expand its activities in eastern Europe. Garex Sp.z.o.o. in Poland was taken over recently. The new acquisition operates 45 trucks and has 75 employees who render all services of the logistics chain. The company attends to customers from the automotive and consumer goods industry, requiring transport and logistics services from or to Germany, Benelux and Scandinavia. The activities of the Garex-company will be integrated into the Panopa Logistik Polska-location in Poznan.

In addition to the company acquisition in Poland the Group opened new locations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia during the last weeks. The locations in Lovosice (Czech Republic) and Zilina (Slovakia) offer distribution, forwarding and transport organisation services. Customers are mainly coming from the consumer goods, steel and automotive industry.

Panopa has been present with its own companies in eastern Europe since 1998. In Gliwice Panopa Logistik Polska operates a steel logistics centre, which supplies the pressing site of an automotive manufacturer with steel coils and metal sheets „just in time“. The annual turnover amounts to around 60,000 tons. The location in Poznan renders comprehensive services for the Polish plant of an automotive manufacturer such as warehousing, order-picking/sequencing, pre-assembly, shuttle-transportations, line feeding and empties management.
