2010 was the best business year in the company history of the worldwide acting transport and logistics group DSV A/S
The worldwide acting Danish transport and logistics group DSV A/S is looking back on the best business year in its company history. Turnover 2010 amounted to EUR 5.7 billion, 17.7 per cent above last year’s figure. The operating result (Ebita) improved to EUR 300 million, which resulted in a Ebita margin of 5.2 per cent. “2010 was a very satisfying year. This is the basis to reach new heights in 2011“, Jens Bjørn Andersen, head of the group, resumes. The Air & Sea segment showed an outstanding performance. In this sector the enterprise showed above-market growth with 710,000 TEU sea freight (up 19.3 per cent) and 250,000 tons of air freight (up 30 per cent). The Road segment achieved a 12%-increase in consignments and posted the first positive result at the German national company. In the business segment Solutions the number of Order Lines has risen between eight and ten per cent. DSV A/S is a global transport and logistics service provider with its headquarters in Brøndby (Denmark), who offers professional holistic solutions for all services of the modern transport and warehousing logistics. DSV has own locations and offices in more than 60 countries. Via a network of cooperation partners, they are active in more than 110 countries.
