Qatar Airways shows interest in „boarding“ Cargolux
Cargolux Airlines in exclusive negotiations about stake in share capital with Qatar Airways
A change within the circle of shareholders might take place at the cargo airline Cargolux Airlines (Luxemburg). In a press release the enterprise confirms that that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to sell a stake in the company share capital to Qatar Airways. Speculative statements about the sale of a potential 35 to 49 per cent shareholding in the company to Yangtze River Express, were denied by the management. Cargolux Airlines was established in 1970 by Luxair together with private and public investors. The enterprise counts among the leading providers of scheduled air freight services in Europe. With eleven Boeing 747-400 freight aircraft they forwarded 683.380 tons last year, which is up 8.9 per cent on 2009. In its 2010 balance sheet the company reached a net profit of USD 59.8 million on total income of USD 1,75 million (versus a loss of USD 153.3 million in 2009). Quelle: LogEastics |
