Schenker-Romtrans: New cross docking-terminal in Cluj-Napoca

Continued expansion with DB Schenker Logistics in Romania; EUR 1.2 million-investment at new site in the west of Transylvania
 
The Romanian branch of DB Schenker has started operating a new terminal in the city of Cluj-Napoca, west of Transylvania. The cross docking-facility offers the full range of transport and logistics services for land transport, air and ocean freight, contract logistics and supply chain management, including customs clearance. The 10,000 m² site includes nine docking stations for loading and unloading and was built with an investment of EUR 1.2 million.
 
Schenker Romtrans S.A., present with six agencies and more than 60 locations, is the leading provider of transport and logistics services in Romania. The company offers its land transport customers 13 weekly international import and three international export liner services. In the 2012 business year their 1,115 employees generated a 15 per cent-increase in turnover.
 
“Last year’s positive business results confirm our leading position in Romania’s transport and logistics market", says Albin Budinsky, national head of Schenker Romtrans S.A, Bucharest. “We will continue on this course of expansion and intensify our customer relations”, he adds.
