Specialist for dangerous goods transport Schildecker is outperforming legal regulations with “Responsible Care“

 

With a new initiative Schildecker Transport GmbH emphasises its the closeness to its customers from the chemical industry. Since April 2011 the family company headquartered in Pischelsdorf near Tulln in Lower Austria is a member of the „Responsible Care”-initiative. This means volunteer commitment of the chemical industry, to do more than obliged. Concretely, these measures shall promote sustainability, increase security of the plants and their neighbourhood, as well as improve health protection at the work place, and environmental protection.

Schildecker Transport has been operating transportations of bulk goods and liquids for more than 50 years now. Dangerous goods make up about 60 per cent. In the past years they expanded their transport services for the pharmaceuticals and food industry, which require strict quality and hygienic standards. The fleet consists of about 20 semi trailers for dangerous goods equipped with GPS-location system and around 40 trailers with tanker bodies made from stainless steel, steel, rubber-coated steel and aluminium. Some aluminium-silo semi trailers and container chassis round up the pallet.

The location in Pischelsdorf provides a tank cleaning facility for trucks, rail tank wagons and small boxes. The enterprise is certified according to ISO 9002 and the SQAS rules of CEFIC.
