Shipping line X-Press launches Adriatic feeder

X-Press Feeders: New service, branded ‚Algeciras-Adriatic X-Press‘ (AAX), connects Algeciras and Marsaxlokk to five Adriatic ports

X-Press Feeders is to launch a new common feeder service connecting the hubs of Algeciras and Marsaxlokk to five Adriatic ports in these days. The service, branded ‚Algeciras-Adriatic X-Press‘ (AAX), will turn in three weeks with three ships of 800-1,000 teu, with the following rotation: Algeciras (APM Terminal), Marsaxlokk, Rijeka, Koper, Venice, Ravenna, Ancona, Marsaxlokk, Algeciras. The service will encompass the existing Marsaxlokk-Adriatic service (IAX), with the first sailing is planned from Algeciras on 4 April with the 868 TEU ‘Bjorg’.

X-Press Feeders started operations in 1972 out of South East Asia and has become the largest independent feeder carrier in the world. Its fleet of over 60 vessels operates from six major shipping hubs and covers 143 ports throughout the world. Annual throughput is over 2.4 million TEU. X-Press feeders provides transportation services only to container ship operators and not to proprietary cargo interests or the general shipping public.
