SNCF Transport and Logistics gets sole shareholder of Ermewa
Ermewa Group (Geneva): Change in shareholders’ structure A basic change in the shareholders’ structure is to take place at Ermewa Group, an enterprise based in Geneva (Switzerland) that specialises in operation and leasing of rail wagons and containers. SNCF Transport and Logistics increases its holding in the enterprise from 49.6 per cent to 100 per cent. This consolidates the position in a strategic business segment, as the group announced in a press release. The transaction is still subject to the approval of the competition authorities. Ermewa Group has 21,000 rail wagons and 40,000 containers. With 515 employees at 30 locations in 20 European countries the enterprise generated a turnover of EUR 384 million in 2008.
