Starting signal for cargo-partner’s second location in South Korea

New branch of the cargo-partner group in Busan puts focus on worldwide sea freight forwarding from/to South Korea

Opening a second location in South Korea, the cargo-partner group enhances its network on the Asian continent. To support the existing office in Seoul they have now established a branch in the port city Busan. At its new station the enterprise is primarily offering sea freight services. The container port in Busan is the most important logistics centre of this country. In 2011 about 270 million tons of goods passed this port.

Korea’s export business proved to be quite strong in the past years. Therefore and due to the free trading agreement concluded between South Korea and the European Union on 1 July 2011, we expect a positive and sustainable uptrend of our shipments via the port of Busan to Europe“, says Mag. Stefan Krauter, CEO cargo-partner group.

Established in 1983 the cargo-partner group is an internationally acting forwarding company, specialising in complex services in the fields of transport and warehousing. The range of services covers air/sea freight transport and truck transport, as well as warehousing optimisation. Their 2,400 employees at more than 100 locations in 29 countries generated a turnover at EUR 500 million in 2011.
