Security along the entire logistics chain is an important and often cost intense issue for producers and traders of valuable goods. Schenker & Co. AG (Vienna) takes account of this fact and introduces a all-in-one solution for valuable freight consignments that is also available for general cargo consignments and puts a stop to criminal infringements to cargo. The new product line named DB SCHENKERsecurity increases security of transport, storage and throughput of valuable consignments. Its development was based on experience from long years of cooperation with producers and traders of high value goods. DB SCHENKERsecurity is based on specially trained staff, continuous observation of Hot Spots throughout Europe in tight cooperation with authorities and longstanding external partnerships. Therefore they elaborated exact processes for the transport chains. An experienced project team in Vienna coordinates 40 TAPA-certified high security terminals throughout Europe, twelve of them in Southeastern Europe. Individual concepts that are adapted to the special case are developed with these customers.
